"Thanks for the class today! ... 'The Strength & Balance class has helped me enormously. I was at  low ebb before that, with a progressive hip and leg problem worsening. It frustrated me that I could no longer do Pilates, which I used to enjoy, as I couldn't get up off the mat!  

 

We use chairs for support, but the exercises in the class are by no means a doddle. But I don't ache nearly as much as I did when I started, and the classes energise me, rather than tire me out.

"I joined ESB about four or five months ago and find it is such a friendly class. Karen motivates us to do our best and although it is hard work it is so rewarding.

 

It has helped with my flexibility and I can now bend my knees which wasn’t possible last year due to my osteoarthritis. My balance is also better which has given me confidence that I can improve my condition. I try and do some of the exercises at home as this is the best way to get the most out of the classes. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to improve balance, posture and their confidence.​"
